Was sold an expensive ice cream before a film and had to miss part of the film when I realised there was no spoon of any sort supplied. The staff behind the desk were useless when asked for a spoon and had no idea what to do about the problem. Eventually, upon my own insistence, they exchanged the ice cream for a milkshake but I found them unhelpful and resentful of having to think on their feet. There should be more senior staff available to provide decent customer service and certainly they should not sell ice cream without the facility to eat the stuff. Bring your own spoons! However not all the staff have bad customer service skills and usually they are polite and helpful but not this time.

Great film with good effects. Jigssaw - better on the big screen!! Lots of blood & screaming. Nice!

Frankie & Benny's

The Metroplex Cinema, Denmark St, Altrincham WA14 2WG, UK – 0161 927 4986

The food is consistent with other branches of Frankie and Benny's, the prices are fair and the service is just right with a relaxed atmosphere. They listen to special requests (unfortunately) as I was embarrassed yet touched by our waiter personally singing Happy Birthday to me.

Great place for a bite to eat. Midweek too its a bargain. They have revised the menu now too and added a few nice new additions. Overall nice food and drinks.

Altrincham Garrick Theatre

Barrington Rd, Altrincham WA14 1HZ, UK – 0161 928 1677

We have not been to a performance here for many years and decided to give it try and booked a performance some four months in advance. Unfortunately, due to an unforseen problem some members of our party were unable to attend. We approached the booking office to see if we could exchange these tickets for a different performance, so the Garrick would still retain the ticket costs (almost £60). I was not expecting a refund but would have been happy with an admin fee to process the change. Unfortunately they are very inflexible and stated this was not possible. It was suggested we try to give them away. There is a resale scheme but apparently of no use on this occasion as the same performance last year was poorly attended so there would be no demand. I feel this represents poor customer service in this day and age and certainly requires a change of attitude. On this basis I will think twice about booking in advance.

Generally more Expensive than other Amateur Theatres if not for the Extortionate Soft Drinks Prices would give it 5 Stars

Altrincham Little Theatre

17 Oxford Rd, Altrincham WA14 2ED, UK – 0161 928 1113

Great little theatre. Went to see a school production of Shakespeare Rocks and really enjoyed it. As it is small, you will be close to the stage wherever you sit. Small bar and very reasonably priced too. Will go again to another show.
